Digital New Energy DataBM. Com learned that on November 25, the environmental impact assessment of TOPCon second-generation products and BC products upgrading and transformation of Yangzhou Atlas Solar Cell Co., Ltd. was announced for the second time.
According to the announcement, the total investment of the project is 220 million yuan , and the construction site is located in the south of Wuzhou Road, east of Mapo River, west of Canal South Road and north of Shengli River in Yangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province.
The project plans to use the existing plant and production line to introduce a total of 26 sets of BC chain texturing, laser mold opening, laser passivation, alumina passivation and other equipment to carry out TOPCon and BC route project transformation .
Specifically, Yangzhou Atlas Battery Company intends to upgrade two of the 25 TOPCon generation I production lines with differentiated technologies, one of which is transformed into the TOPCon generation II production line by optimizing the passivation and metallization processes. The conversion efficiency of mass production of solar cells can be increased to more than 26%, and the unit energy consumption and production cost can be reduced by 15% -20% .
The other is transformed into a TBC solar cell production line, with a single watt power generation gain of 4% ~ 9.55%. After the
transformation, the product scale of the whole plant can reach 13225MW/year of TOPCon first-generation solar cells , 575 MW/year of TOPCon second-generation solar cells , TBC solar cell 200MW/year .
According to the EIA document, as of November 2025, Yangzhou Atlas Solar Cell Co., Ltd. has built an annual output of 14 GW ultra-high efficiency solar cell project in Yangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, mainly producing TOPCon solar cells. At the same time, a small amount of IBC solar cells are produced.
