In March, Shanghai's cement consumption was 1.68 million tons, down 19% year on year; the cumulative cement consumption was 3.57 million tons, down 27% year on year. Mainly due to the drag of funds, after the Spring Festival this year, the pace of project resumption is slow, new projects start less, and some projects under construction are also delayed. In terms of
brand concentration, the market share of the top three brands was 41.3%, down 7.2 points year on year. Since the end of February, the price of cement has been pushed up continuously, but the implementation of each brand is different, the price difference is large, the price of mainstream brands is strong, the number of traders and terminals is reduced, and the market share is reduced.
In terms of source regions, the top three sources are Jiangsu, Anhui and Shanghai, with Jiangsu accounting for 48.6%, a decrease of 1 point, Anhui accounting for 19.6%, an increase of 2.5 points, and Shanghai accounting for 11.0%, an increase of 0.2 points. Jiangxi along the Yangtze River accounted for 7.9%, Hubei for 4.7%, and Chongqing for 2.1%.
In March, with the gradual resumption of the project, the consumption of cement increased significantly, but decreased significantly year-on-year. In April, some new projects were started, and the problem of "earthwork is difficult to produce" in Shanghai was alleviated, so the consumption of cement continued to increase, but it was difficult to reach the level of the same period last year.
