Recently, Jilin Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment issued a public announcement on the acceptance of the environmental impact report of Liaoyuan Tianying Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. for the project of efficient utilization of carbon dioxide with an annual output of 180000 tons of green methane (Phase I).
Publicity information shows that the project is located in the chemical industrial park of Liaoyuan High-tech Industrial Development Zone, which is the production part of green hydrogen and green methane in the series of projects of "integration of wind, solar, hydrogen and ammonia storage". The total investment of
the project is 45 million yuan. The main construction contents include 180,000t/a methane production unit, 104000Nm ³/H hydrogen production unit , 32000Nm ³/H carbon capture unit 2 and supporting public auxiliary works. After the completion of the
project, by capturing the carbon dioxide in the boiler flue gas of the existing biomass power generation project and carrying out the green methane synthesis reaction with the self-produced hydrogen, it theoretically has the potential to produce 180,000 tons of green methane per year. However, there is a certain gap between the actual production capacity and the scale of the plant, and it is expected that the annual output of green methane will be 62,000 tons per year after the completion of the project.
It is understood that on October 19, 2023, based on the relevant development background, China Tianying and Liaoyuan Municipal People's Government signed an investment cooperation framework agreement, focusing on the green restoration of waste mines through gravity energy storage , as well as the building of wind and solar hydrogen ammonia alcohol storage projects. A series of in-depth cooperation consensus has been reached.
China Tianying plans to build Jilin Tianying Chemical Project Base in Liaoyuan High-tech Industrial Development Zone, and make every effort to promote the series of projects of "integration of wind, solar, hydrogen, ammonia and alcohol storage". The project covers wind power generation, biomass power generation, green hydrogen production, green methanol synthesis, green methane synthesis and other core sectors.
Among them, the wind power generation project, as the "green power engine" of the integrated project, provides green power support for the integrated project; the biomass power generation project plays the role of "integrated energy supplier", providing biomass power, steam and green carbon for the integrated project; the green hydrogen production provides green hydrogen raw materials for the integrated project; The green methanol synthesis project and the green methane synthesis project respectively provide green methanol and green methane products for the integrated project. The integrated project opens up the whole industrial chain from green electricity to green methanol and green methane. Its innovative large-scale and peak-shaving chemical system can adapt to the fluctuation characteristics of new wind power energy, and has the dual significant advantages of chemical energy storage and clean production. In terms of
project planning, the overall planning of the "integration of wind, solar, hydrogen and ammonia storage" series of projects is to build 2.6G W new energy power generation facilities, mainly for wind power generation; equipped with 400000Nm ³/H electrolytic hydrogen production device for green hydrogen production; Build 170,000 tons/year methanol plant to realize the planned synthesis of green methanol; build 2 × 180,000 tons/year green methane plant to improve the production capacity of green methane; build biomass power generation plant and supporting public auxiliary facilities to ensure the stable operation of the project.
