2025, China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as "CSCEC") and Sonelgaz-EnR formally signed the 153 MW photovoltaic power plant project in Toughourt Province Contract.
Sonelgz-EnR's 520 MW photovoltaic power plant project includes three bidding sections, which are distributed in two provinces of Algeria, and each power plant is between 120 MW and 250 MW. The bid section 2 won by CSCEC is located in Tughurt City, Tughurt Province, with a scale of 153.14 MW and a site area of 300 hectares.
It is reported that the contract includes photovoltaic power plant design, civil engineering, supply, transportation, installation, training, commissioning, trial operation and grid-connected projects. This is the third photovoltaic power plant project undertaken by China Construction in Afghanistan after undertaking 200 MW photovoltaic power plant projects in Maigueyer Province and 300 MW photovoltaic power plant projects in Wad Province last year.
