On March 31, the second general meeting of the eighth session of Guizhou Cement Industry Association and the seminar on high-quality development of the industry were held in Guiyang. Gong Leihai, President of Guizhou Cement Industry Association, Jiang Wangming, Secretary of the Party Branch, Liu Xiaoping, Executive Vice President and President of Conch (Guizhou) Holding Co., Ltd., Yang Zhengwei, Vice President and Regional General Manager of Longli Hongshi Cement Co., Ltd., Wang Shiming, Vice President and General Manager of Taiwan Cement (Anshun) Cement Co., Ltd., Jiang Tao, Vice President and Director of Scientific Research and Design Institute of Guizhou Building Materials Scientific Research and Design Institute Co., Ltd., Li Hejun, Vice President and Vice Minister of Cement Department of Guizhou Building Materials Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute, Fan Ya, Vice President and Chief of Guizhou Team of China Building Materials Industry Geological Survey Center, and Ma Jingui, Vice President. Lu Hongzheng, Vice President and General Manager of Huangping Jianfeng Cement Co., Ltd., Yu Feng, Supervisor and General Manager of Duyun Shangfeng Southwest Cement Co., Ltd., and more than 100 representatives of member units attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Ren Xiaojun, Secretary-General of Guizhou Cement Industry Association.
The conference deliberated and approved the work report and financial report of the Association in 2024 made by Gong Leihai, President of Guizhou Cement Industry Association, and Ren Xiaojun, Secretary-General of Guizhou Cement Industry Association. The work report reviews the work of the association in the past year from the aspects of deepening industry self-discipline, maintaining industry ecology, economic operation of service industry, detailed implementation of industrial policies, and leading to high-quality development of the industry. It is proposed that in 2025, the association will focus on strengthening its own construction, exploring market-oriented capacity removal, leading industry scientific and technological innovation, industrial innovation, green low-carbon and high-quality development, helping enterprises to transform and upgrade, strengthening industry self-discipline, comprehensively rectifying "involution" competition, deepening peak staggering production, and strengthening provincial cross-regional communication. Wang Shiming, General Manager
of Taini (Anshun) Cement Co., Ltd., Yang Zhengwei, Regional General Manager of Longli Red Lion Co., Ltd., and Liang Heng, President of Guizhou Tianshan Cement Co., Ltd., made speeches respectively, expressing how happy the cement industry in our province is to have a responsible, capable and daring association. In the current extremely severe market situation, we can only promote the formation of a healthy and orderly industry ecology by closely focusing on the association, firmly and strictly implementing peak staggering production, strengthening industry self-discipline and continuously strengthening communication.
Executive Vice President Liu Xiaoping said that in the current cement environment is so bad, the association carries out almost "nanny-style" services for enterprises. Actively coordinate the problems and difficulties faced by member units and spare no effort to carry out the work. However, in order to reverse the current situation, resolve market contradictions and get out of the predicament, we need not only the efforts of associations and large enterprises, but also the participation and efforts of the whole cement industry. At the end of
the meeting, President Gong Leihai once again called on the whole industry to be "highly self-disciplined" in behavior and "rapidly changing" in concept. In such a fragile environment of the whole cement market, it is necessary to establish a "anti-involution" normalization working mechanism of "associations set up platforms, large enterprises take the lead, and small enterprises cooperate". Confidence is more important than gold. As long as confidence does not decline, there are more ways than difficulties. We should strengthen confidence, build consensus, enhance mutual trust, unify the pace, actively fulfill the ecological responsibility of the industry, and safeguard the ecological environment of the industry. On the new journey towards the future, everyone is the protagonist, every effort is precious, and every beam of light is shining.
