Ningxia: 19 Traditional Clinker Production Lines Have Been Staggered and Stopped

According to the Ningxia Office of Industry and Information Technology, in order to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping's thought of ecological civilization, comprehensively implement the deployment requirements of the state and autonomous region for air pollution prevention and control in winter and spring of 2025-2026, effectively alleviate the pressure of air pollution control during heating period, effectively alleviate the contradiction of excess capacity in cement industry, and maintain the healthy ecology of the industry. From November 14 to 16, the industry and information departments at the autonomous region, city and county (district) levels, together with the cement industry association of the autonomous region, gave up weekend breaks and went deep into the cement clinker production enterprises in the five cities of the region by means of telephone supervision and on-site verification to publicize the policy requirements of normal peak staggering production in the cement industry one by one. Supervise the implementation of peak staggering and kiln shutdown in winter and spring.

As of 16 November, Nineteen traditional (non-carbide slag) clinker production lines in 23 cement clinker production lines in the whole region are in accordance with the Notice of the Department of Industry and Information Technology and the Department of Ecological Environment of the Autonomous Region on the Normalized Peak Staggering Production of Cement in 2025-2026 and the Action Plan for the Prevention and Control of Air Pollution in Winter and Spring in the Industrial Field in 2025-2026. During the period of off-peak shutdown, carbon dioxide emissions will be reduced by 8.8193 million tons, sulfur dioxide emissions by 1679.87 tons and nitrogen oxide emissions by 3149.76 tons.
