According to French media reports, India's Ediabella Group (Aditya Birla Group) and France's Lafarge Construction Materials Group (Lafarge) will negotiate the acquisition of diversified group Jaiprakash Associates'cement plants in two Indian States.

< P > < FONT face = Verdana > India's leading financial media, Economic Times, announced that the value of the acquisition assets reached $1.6 billion. The head of UltraTech Cement, a subsidiary of Lafarge and Edia Bela Group, pointed out that India's largest cement manufacturer is controlled by Edia Bela Group, preliminary negotiations have been completed and the final deal will be concluded as soon as possible. The media also revealed that Holcim, a Swiss company, also wanted to buy these assets.
