Recently, the General Office of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment issued a notice on the public solicitation of opinions on five national ecological and environmental standards, including "Methods and Requirements for Carbon Footprint Quantification of Greenhouse Gas Products Flat Glass (Draft for Comments)", including "Methods and Requirements for Carbon Footprint Quantification of Greenhouse Gas Products General Portland Cement (Draft for Comments)" (hereinafter referred to as "Draft for Comments").

Recently, the General Office of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment issued a circular on the public solicitation of opinions on five national ecological and environmental standards, such as "Carbon Footprint Quantification Methods and Requirements for Greenhouse Gas Products Flat Glass (Draft for Opinions)". These include the Methods and Requirements for Quantifying the Carbon Footprint of Greenhouse Gas Products and Common Portland Cement (Draft for Comments) (hereinafter referred to as the "Draft for Comments").

According to the draft, this standard is formulated to implement the Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, guide and standardize the quantification of carbon footprint of general Portland cement products, and promote carbon emission reduction of general Portland cement products.

This standard specifies the methods and requirements for quantifying the carbon footprint of general purpose Portland cement products.

This standard is issued for the first time.
