Recently, another green hydrogen project of China Tianying suddenly announced its cancellation.
According to the online approval and supervision platform for investment projects in Jilin Province, on July 18, the filing of Phase I and Phase II (Project No.: 2507-220460 -04-05-764132) of the integrated project of wind, solar and hydrogen ammonia storage based on the green restoration of waste pits (part of hydrogen ammonia chemical engineering) was cancelled.

It is understood that the first phase of the project based on the waste mine green restoration, wind and solar storage, hydrogen, ammonia and alcohol integration project (hydrogen, ammonia and alcohol chemical engineering part) is located in Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province. It is the first phase of China Tianying's "Wind and Solar Hydrogen Storage Ammonia Alcohol Integration" series project, which belongs to the green hydrogen and green methanol synthesis production part of the "Wind and Solar Hydrogen Storage Ammonia Alcohol Integration" series project. In October
2023, a series of projects of "Integration of Hydrogen, Ammonia and Alcohol Storage in China" were formally signed. The overall planning of the project is to construct 2.6G W new energy power generation facilities (wind power 2600MW), 400000Nm ³/H electrolytic hydrogen production plant, 1.28 million tons/year methanol plant, green carbon plant and supporting public auxiliary facilities .
Among them, the first phase of the project based on the green restoration of waste pits and the integration of wind, solar, hydrogen, ammonia and alcohol storage (the part of hydrogen, ammonia and alcohol chemical engineering), with a total investment of 301155 45500 yuan, mainly constructs 170000 tons/year methanol production plant, 56000 Nm/H hydrogen production plant and supporting public auxiliary projects. After the completion of the project, the annual output of green methanol will be 150000 tons per year. On January 13,
2025, based on the green restoration of waste mine, the first phase of the integrated project of wind and solar storage of hydrogen, ammonia and alcohol (the part of hydrogen, ammonia and alcohol chemical engineering) was accepted and announced.
It is understood that this is not the first major change in the green hydrogen project of China Tianying, and there are two similar projects in the near future. On May 29,
2025, the procurement project of 80 sets of water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment of China Tianying Co., Ltd. was terminated. The announcement shows that the project has undergone major technical changes and the tender has been terminated. On June 25,
2025, Anda Tianying Wind and Solar Energy Storage Hydrogen Ammonia Alcohol Integration (Chemical Phase I) Project was re-filed. Compared with the record information in July 2024, the green methanol production capacity of the project has been reduced from "200000 tons per year" to "100000 tons per year", and the proportion of capacity shrinkage is as high as 50%.
