Seminar on strong self-discipline, anti-involution, steady growth and high-quality development of cement industry in Hebei Province was held in Shijiazhuang

16, Hebei Building Materials Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as "Provincial Building Materials Association") organized a seminar on "Hebei Cement Industry Strong Self-discipline, Anti-Involution, Steady Growth and High-quality Development" in Shijiazhuang. The conference focused on the current industry development dilemma, gathered the strength of the region and enterprises, and planned a new path to promote the healthy and sustainable development of Hebei cement industry. More than 30 people attended the meeting, including Niu Yafei, Secretary-General of Cement Branch, Li Shanshan, Secretary-General of Provincial Building Materials Association, heads of regional organizations and representatives of enterprises. First of all, China Cement Association's "Opinions on Further Promoting the High-quality Development of" Anti-involution and Steady Growth "in Cement Industry" was conveyed, and the proposal of strengthening self-discipline, anti-involution and steady growth in Hebei Cement Industry was read out. Representatives of participating enterprises agreed that the cement industry is facing a severe situation of weakening demand and price pressure, and vicious competition has intensified the phenomenon of involution in the industry. In their speeches, representatives of

participating enterprises expressed their firm support for peak staggering production, and suggested that the association guide and coordinate the establishment of a stable growth mechanism for the industry and jointly oppose disorderly and vicious competition. We all agreed that we must adhere to the rigid peak staggering production, adjust the production capacity structure in compliance with the regulations, jointly maintain the industry ecology, and promote the reasonable return of industry efficiency. Li Huaijiang made an in-depth analysis of the challenges facing the current development of the industry and put forward four important guiding opinions:

First, we should strengthen industry self-discipline. Enterprises should strictly abide by industry norms, consciously maintain market order, and put an end to market disruption such as dumping at low prices. The association will establish a more perfect self-discipline supervision mechanism to inform and restrain the enterprises that violate the regulations.

Secondly, we should optimize the capacity structure. Strictly implement the national capacity replacement policy, speed up the elimination of backward production capacity, and lay the foundation for the healthy development of the industry.

Third, we should improve the production mechanism of peak staggering. On the basis of adhering to the existing peak staggering production policy, we should further refine the implementation plan and formulate a more scientific and reasonable peak staggering plan according to the actual situation of different regions and enterprises, so as to ensure the effectiveness of the policy.

Fourth, we must establish a new normal industry. Establish a new normal for the development of the industry, gradually tighten the relevant policies of peak staggering production, formulate a scientific and efficient control mechanism, give full play to the effect of orderly market competition and cooperation, and achieve high-quality development. At the end of the

conference, Li Huaijiang called on the whole industry to unite and meet the challenges together. He pointed out that in the current severe market situation, only the concerted efforts of the whole industry can tide over the difficulties. We must resolutely resist vicious competition, maintain a good market order, and create a favorable environment for the stable development of the cement industry in Hebei Province. Delegates
