Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, Nov. 5, the reporter learned on Nov. 5 that the Office of the Leading Group on Employment Promotion and Labor Protection of the State Council recently issued a circular to launch a nationwide winter campaign to control wage arrears from Nov. 1, 2025 to the Spring Festival of 2026, highlighting key industries and industries. We should do a good job in investigating hidden dangers, resolving contradictions, dealing with emergencies and addressing both the symptoms and the root causes, comprehensively rectify wage arrears, and effectively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of migrant workers.
According to the notice, all regions and relevant departments will find out the risk of wage arrears in an all-round way, take the initiative to publicly report complaints channels, carry out joint visits by departments, and classify measures according to specific cases to promote substantive resolution of wage arrears. At the same time, we should deepen the implementation of the wage payment system, strengthen the mechanism of multi-prevention, mediation and resolution of contradictions and disputes at the grass-roots level, and do a good job in resolving contradictions and helping with difficulties.
