During the construction period, the world's first double-deck cable-stayed suspension cooperative system highway and railway bridge, G3 Tongling Yangtze River Highway and Railway Bridge, which was reported by Xinhua News Agency, was opened to traffic at 11:00 on November 6!

G3 Beijing-Taiwan Expressway Tongling Yangtze River Highway and Railway Bridge Project is 11.877 kilometers long, starting from Chenyaohu Town, Tongling City, crossing the Yangtze River, passing through Yangshanji, and ending at Minzhu Village, Datong Town. As a key project of the Yangtze River Trunk Passage Layout Plan (2020-2035), the bridge is the core hub serving the national "the Belt and Road", the Yangtze River Economic Zone and the Yangtze River Delta integration development strategy. Its composite structure design integrates efficient traffic and intensive layout: the upper layer is a six-lane expressway with a speed of 100 kilometers per hour; the lower layer is a four-line railway (including the two-line Hechi Intercity Railway). With excellent engineering quality and innovative technology, the project has successfully passed the rigorous verification of 9000 tons of heavy vehicle load test, and has become a landmark of modern infrastructure construction in the Yangtze River Economic Zone.
