In order to actively explore the new path of high-quality development of Xinjiang cement industry, further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with mainland counterparts, and learn from advanced experience, from February 24 to March 3, 2025, Xinjiang Building Materials Industry Association organized some cement enterprises in Xinjiang to study and exchange in Henan, Shandong and Beijing.
The trip was led by Lv Zhijian, special vice president of China Building Materials Federation and former president of Xinjiang Building Materials Industry Association, whose members included representatives of Xinjiang Building Materials Industry Association and some cement enterprises in Xinjiang. Jiang Siyong, Sales Director of Xinjiang Zhongtai Chemical Co., Ltd., Sun Qiang, Sales Director, and Ge Xindong, Vice General Manager of Wuha Sales Branch of Xinjiang Tianshan Cement Co., Ltd., participated in the exchange and study.
At the industry exchange meeting of the three provinces and cities, President Lv Zhijian comprehensively introduced the recent development of the cement industry in Xinjiang. Xinjiang Building Materials Industry Association has always worked around the overall goal of "social stability and long-term stability". Under the guidance of the government, the association has actively built a platform for large enterprises to take the initiative and play a leading role in technological innovation and market regulation; small enterprises have actively participated, and the industry has formed a coordinated development pattern. In the face of overcapacity, all parties strive to promote the balance between supply and demand through measures such as peak staggering production and eliminating backward production capacity. With joint efforts, the market order of Xinjiang cement industry is relatively stable, the profits of enterprises are maintained, the tax revenue of the government is stable, the income of employees is increased, and the employment of enterprises is promoted.
During the journey of learning and exchange, the representatives who went to the three provinces and cities to exchange and study had extensive and in-depth interaction with the associations and enterprises of the three provinces and cities.
During the discussion with Henan Building Materials Industry Association, the two sides had in-depth exchanges on policy orientation, industry self-discipline, market situation, sales strategy and off-peak production. The successful experience of Henan Province in the implementation of off-peak production and market coordination inspired the members of the delegation. Delegates also visited Dengfeng Zhonglian Dengdian Cement Co., Ltd. and Zhengzhou Aotong Thermal Engineering Co., Ltd. to gain an in-depth understanding of the innovative practices of enterprises in production technology, energy saving and emission reduction, and the coordinated development of thermal supply and cement production.
During the discussion with Shandong Cement Industry Association, the two sides discussed the regional cooperation mode and technology sharing. Yin Qunhao, Secretary-General of Shandong Cement Industry Association, and representatives of Zhonglian and Shanshui Enterprises participated in the exchange.
The next day, the delegates who went to the three provinces and cities to exchange and study visited Pingyin Shanshui Cement Co., Ltd. and Tai'an Zhonglian Cement Co., Ltd. to investigate the achievements of enterprises in intelligent production and fine management. On the afternoon
of February 28, the delegates who went to the three provinces and cities for exchange and study paid a special visit to China Cement Association in Beijing and held a discussion. At the symposium, Secretary-General Wang Yutao first thanked Xinjiang Building Materials Industry Association for its long-term support and assistance to the industry and the association, and expressed his appreciation for the achievements made by Xinjiang Cement Industry in recent years under the leadership of the competent departments of the autonomous region and the Corps, and with the joint efforts of the industry associations and large enterprise groups in Xinjiang. He hoped that under the current circumstances, the cement industry should strengthen its confidence, earnestly implement the spirit of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the Central Economic Work Conference, carry forward advanced industry values, strictly implement normalized peak staggering production, strengthen regional exchanges and enterprise exchanges, resolutely oppose "involution" vicious competition, and jointly promote orderly and rational capacity reduction from both policy and market levels. In addition, the association should also guide enterprises to implement ultra-low emission transformation with high quality.
President Lv Zhijian introduced the operation of cement industry in Xinjiang and the key work done by Xinjiang Building Materials Association in recent years. Lv Zhijian said that in the process of industry transformation and upgrading, Xinjiang cement industry will strengthen confidence, strengthen industry self-discipline, strive to maintain industry ecology, adhere to normal peak staggering production, actively resolve the contradiction between serious overcapacity and downward market demand, and always adhere to the value that industry interests are higher than enterprise interests and enterprise interests are bred in industry interests.
On March 1 and 2, delegates held talks and exchanges with Beijing Building Materials Industry Federation and Beijing Cement Industry Association respectively. Yao Liwei, President of Beijing Building Materials Industry Federation, Zhang Lichun, Secretary-General, Duan Jianguo, Secretary of Beijing Cement Industry Association, Wang Xiaomin, Secretary-General, and representatives of Beijing Cement Enterprises participated in the exchange. The two sides shared their experiences on regional market coordination and the promotion and application of green building materials under the background of innovation and development, which provided new ideas for Xinjiang cement enterprises to expand their markets and effectively participate in market competition. During
the study and exchange activities in Henan, Shandong and Beijing, the representatives of Xinjiang enterprises visited, studied, compared and thought all the way, and generally felt greatly touched, deeply felt and gained a lot. At the summing-up meeting of the event, representatives of various enterprises expressed that in the in-depth exchanges and field visits with the associations and enterprises of the three provinces and municipalities, they had opened up ideas, learned experience and found shortcomings in many key areas, such as peak staggering production, marketing, regional cooperation and green development. Li Jingmei, Secretary-General of Xinjiang Building Materials Industry Association, said in the summary of the activity that the learning exchange was a rare opportunity to emancipate the mind and achieve breakthroughs.
