On March 13, the "Cement Economy 50 Forum" hosted by China Cement Network was successfully held in Hangzhou, with the theme of "New Cycle Anti-Involution Breakthrough". Ma Weiping, chairman
of OCC, said that the 50-person Forum on Cement Economy has become an influential platform for the industry, bringing together the leaders of large and medium-sized enterprises and associations in the industry, so that everyone can freely discuss the industry trend and make suggestions. The convening of the 50-person forum on
cement economy has at least two functions:
1. Let all of us recognize the current situation, and the most important thing at present is anti-involution.
2. Let everyone present, whether enterprises or associations, form a consensus, such as the consensus on off-peak production.
The current situation is not optimistic, industry profits fell 90% last year, and this year is not an optimistic year. Demand recovery is difficult in the short term, and cement production will continue to decline in the future.
How to deal with the current industry situation, Ma Weiping said:
1. Insist on off-peak production. Although it is a temporary solution, and the effect is getting worse and worse, it has not yet found a better way, which is a last resort.
2. Small and medium-sized enterprises should cooperate with large enterprises. Through the leading of large enterprises and the following of small enterprises, the industry can embark on a relatively healthy road.
3. Improve industry concentration. Enterprises with weak competitiveness, poor asset quality and mines, including subsidiaries with weak competitiveness under large enterprises, should consider withdrawing from the market.
Ma Weiping finally said that from the recent market situation, this year has made a good start, hoping that in the case of further decline in volume, the efficiency of our industry can be further improved.
