The main leaders and sales managers of major cement enterprises in Lanzhou, Baiyin and Linxia regions attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the association organized and studied the spirit of the sixth meeting of the 20th Central Committee of Finance and Economics, interpreted the six key points concerned by the cement industry, and emphasized that the central government would "govern the low-price and disorderly competition of enterprises in accordance with the law and regulations, guide enterprises to improve product quality, and promote the orderly withdrawal of backward production capacity" as a way to promote the construction of a unified national market. It means a lot. The meeting made it clear that, in view of the current severe situation of insufficient demand and serious overcapacity in the cement industry, enterprises should resolutely implement the spirit of the relevant meetings of the Central Committee and the Opinions of the China Cement Association on Further Promoting the High-quality Development of the Cement Industry's "Anti-Involution" and "Steady Benefit", further strengthen industry self-discipline and increase production. At the meeting, the Association reported the economic operation of the cement industry in Gansu Province from January to May, the infrastructure construction and real estate investment in Gansu Province, analyzed the factors affecting the operation of the industry and the current overall situation, and also reported the submission and implementation progress of the third peak-staggering production plan in Lanzhou, Baiyin and Linzhou regions this year. Subsequently, the enterprises reported and exchanged their production, sales, storage, price and peak-staggering production plans and implementation in turn, and discussed how to better implement the third peak-staggering production plan and promote the industry to stabilize prices and benefits. After full discussion, the meeting decided to make appropriate adjustments to the implementation period of the third peak staggering production according to the actual situation of some enterprises, while ensuring that the length of peak staggering time remains unchanged, requiring enterprises to further enhance their ideological understanding, strictly implement the adjusted peak staggering plan, and strengthen the submission and implementation work. The inspection team of the association will further strengthen and refine the relevant work, urge enterprises to implement the peak staggering plan, and at the same time, require enterprises to rationally respond to market challenges, resolutely oppose low-price and disorderly competition, and implement anti-involution, stable prices and stable benefits into daily operations, so as to jointly promote the healthy and high-quality development of the industry.
The meeting emphasized that as the main production areas and markets of cement in the province, the development trend of Lanzhou, Baiyin and Linzhou regions has a far-reaching impact on the market of the province. At present, the region is restricted by multiple factors and has become the price depression of the whole province. The time has come to the second half of the year. The most urgent task is to further stabilize the price and benefit by strengthening peak staggering production and industry self-discipline. Enterprises in the region should actively play a leading role in demonstration, work together to reverse the current passive situation and contribute to the healthy and orderly development of the cement industry in the whole province.
