On October 29, PowerChina announced that its subsidiary Sinohydro Group and the National Health Investment Program of Peru formally signed a contract for the design and construction of a high-complexity hospital in the Piura region of Peru, with a contract value of 6.568 billion yuan.
According to the announcement, the project is located in Piura, northern Peru, with a total area of 37780 square meters and a construction area of more than 98,000 square meters. After completion, it will be equipped with 387 beds, 15 modern operating rooms, radiotherapy, nuclear medicine and other high-end medical facilities, with a construction period of 1080 days and a defect liability period of 52 weeks. According to
the data, China Electric Power Construction is approved by the State Council. In September 2011, it was reorganized on the basis of 14 provincial (regional and municipal) survey, design, construction and equipment repair enterprises affiliated to the former China Water Conservancy and Hydropower Construction Group Corporation, China Hydropower Engineering Consulting Group Corporation, State Grid Corporation of China and China Southern Power Grid Co., Ltd. The company operates in more than 130 countries and regions around the world.
This medical infrastructure project is not the first project of China Electric Power Construction in Peru. In May this year, China Electric Power Construction also announced that two units of the San Gavan III Hydropower Station in Peru had successfully completed trial operation and successfully connected to the grid. It is reported that the rated head of the power station is 630.71 meters, equipped with two impulse hydro-generators, with a total installed capacity of 209.3 MW and a designed annual power generation capacity of 1.25 billion kWh.
