On October 27, the Natural Resources Bureau of Wuwei City, Gansu Province, issued the announcement of the cancellation of the pre-examination and site selection opinions for the 3 million kilowatt photovoltaic project in Jiuduntan, Liangzhou District, Wuwei City, Gansu Tengger Desert Hexi New Energy Base.
The announcement shows that the cancellation of the project land pre-examination and site selection opinions is mainly the application of the project construction unit to change the content of the original planning permission.

Previously, on January 23, 2025, Wuwei Natural Resources Bureau issued a public announcement on the pre-examination and site selection of the project. The announcement shows that the project is located in Jiudun Beach Photovoltaic Sand Control Demonstration Park, Liangzhou District, with a land scale of 17.55 hectares, all of which are state-owned unused land (sandy land). It is planned to build 3 million kilowatt photovoltaic power generation array, centralized control center and three supporting 330kV step-up energy storage stations, which will be implemented by Gansu Tengger Green Energy Co., Ltd . On February 28
this year, Wuwei Natural Resources Bureau issued the Opinion on Pre-examination and Site Selection of Construction Project Land (No.6206022025XS0001554). So far, the project has not yet started construction .
