21, the first general meeting of the third session of Yunnan Cement Association was held in Kunming. More than 100 directors, supervisors and member representatives from cement enterprises in Yunnan Province attended the meeting. Chu Congjiang, Director of Raw Materials Department of Yunnan Industry and Information Technology Department, Xu Lu, Second-level Director, Hu Peifang, Second-level Investigator of Social Organizations Administration Bureau of Yunnan Civil Affairs Department, and Yi Yumin, Senior Engineer of Yunnan Eco-environmental Engineering Assessment Center, attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Yang Hongbing, Vice President of the Association, Vice President of Huaxin Cement , Secretary of the Party Committee of the Western Region and General Manager. Yang Yanbo, Vice President of
the Association and General Manager of Yunnan Cement Building Materials Group Co., Ltd., made a report on the work of the Council of the Association, which analyzed the current operation of the water industry in Yunnan Province. It also reviews and summarizes the work and achievements of the Council in recent years in six aspects, namely, deepening industry self-discipline, insisting on peak staggering production and coordinated development of services. Nie Dalin, the chairman of the board of supervisors of the association and the representative of Taiwan Cement Yunnan, reported on the work of the board of supervisors and the financial revenue and expenditure of the association.
The General Assembly voted to elect a new board of directors and leading members of the board of supervisors with Tu Shunzu as its president, and voted to adopt the amendment of the articles of association and the method of collecting membership fees. Hu Peifang, a second-level researcher of the Provincial Civil Affairs Department, participated in the whole process to supervise and guide the election of the General Assembly. Tu Shunzu, the president of the
new association, made a statement in view of the severe situation of the cement industry in Yunnan Province, and combined with the spirit of the Central Committee's "anti-involution" conference and the relevant industry policies of the provincial departments of industry and information technology, made a statement on the six key aspects of the new Council, namely, industry self-discipline, peak staggering production, standardization of production capacity and output, and function exertion. He also appealed to the cement workers in Yunnan Province to face the difficulties, self-discipline and self-help, and take positive actions.
The meeting invited the Department of Raw Materials of the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology to publicize and interpret the documents on standardized capacity management in Yunnan Province, and to publicize the implementation measures for capacity replacement in the cement industry in 2024 and the requirements of the documents on peak staggering production in Yunnan Province in 2025. Yi Yumin, Director of Atmospheric Department of
the Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, and Chu Congjiang, Director of Raw Materials of the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, respectively affirmed the contributions made by the Provincial Cement Association in recent years to promote the high-quality development of the cement industry, and made requirements for energy saving and emission reduction, compliance management and policy implementation of the cement industry. It is also expected that the new Council of the Association will lead the cement industry in Yunnan Province to further develop towards high quality. The successful convening of this
conference provides a platform for cement enterprises in Yunnan Province to exchange and cooperate, gather industry consensus and clarify the direction of development. Yunnan Cement Association will continue to play a bridge role, actively serve member units, strengthen industry self-discipline, promote sustainable development of the industry, and make greater contributions to the high-quality development of the cement industry in Yunnan Province.
