The construction of the expressway will drive the local demand for cement and sand to a certain extent.

It is reported that on the morning of February 21, the project commencement ceremony of Chengping Expressway (Beijing Section) was held. The project will be completed in a large area by the end of March and is expected to be completed and opened to traffic by the end of 2025.

Chengping Expressway (Beijing Section) is located in Pinggu District. It starts from the city boundary on the south side of Baojiazhuang Village in the south, connects with the Capital Area Ring Expressway, and ends at the city boundary on the north side of Hongshimen Village in the north, connecting with Chengping Expressway (Hebei Section). The total length is about 34.8 kilometers. The design standard is expressway with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. There are 6 interchanges, 24 bridges and 2 tunnels along the whole line, and supporting facilities such as service area and maintenance area are constructed synchronously. The total investment of the project is about 10.48 billion yuan.

Transportation infrastructure construction is an important part of stimulating cement demand. Data show that one kilometer of highway needs about 9000- 10000 tons of cement, while the ratio of cement to aggregate is 1:6, and the aggregate needed for one kilometer of highway is 54000-60000 tons. The construction of the expressway will drive the local demand for cement and sand to a certain extent.
