Recently, the illegal sand mining in Mengjiangyuan mining area of Changde City, Hunan Province exceeded 19 million tons. The destruction of the ecological environment, such as the hollowing out of the beach area of 2085 mu, has attracted much attention. Relevant departments are implementing a comprehensive ban on mining in the surrounding waters of the sand mining area, carrying out demarcation, ship clearance, water pollution prevention and control, ecological restoration and other work. After the environmental protection incident in Mengjiang Beach, the government's sand mining planning has become more standardized. As a result of the ban on mining, the price of Dongting Lake sand has risen by about 8-10 yuan due to the recent shortage of supply, and the ex-factory price has reached 76-78 yuan/ton. At present, the price of Dongting Lake sand is stable at a high level, and the price may gradually fall after the normal supply of Dongting Lake sand resumes. Company

During April and May, there were frequent rainstorms in Guangzhou, the market demand was not large, and the price of sand and gravel declined periodically. At present, the price of natural sand is about 80 yuan/ton, sea sand is about 60 yuan/ton, machine-made sand is about 60 yuan/ton, and high material is about 70 yuan/ton. In addition, according to the survey, there is a large inflow of sea sand in Guangdong and Guangxi, which impacts the local demand for machine-made sand and affects the price of machine-made sand. On the demand side, infrastructure is still the main project, mainly railway, municipal engineering and other projects, housing construction projects are not many. On the supply side, two sand and gravel projects of China Power Construction in Guangdong will be put into operation on schedule. It is understood that the total investment of Jiaowanding Project and Guanyinshan Project is 17 billion yuan, with a total production scale of 55 million tons per year. Among them, the Guanyinshan project is planned to be put into operation at the end of August 2024, with an annual production capacity of 35 million tons, and the Jiaowanding project is planned to be put into operation in 2024 and put into full operation on June 30, 2025. Before and after the Dragon Boat Festival, there will be more rain in Guangdong, the demand will remain generally low, and the price of sand and gravel will continue to weaken.
