Summarizing the main work
since the First Session of the Tenth Staff Congress, 2018 has been six years of profound changes for the company, as well as six years full of challenges and opportunities. Guided by Xi Jinping's socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era, under the leadership of provincial Party committees, provincial governments and Baowu Group, we have comprehensively studied and implemented the spirit of the Nineteenth and Twentieth National Congresses of the Party and previous Plenary sessions, thoroughly implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches in Yunnan and Baowu, China, and adhered to the general tone of steady progress. We have made concerted efforts to overcome difficulties, seize opportunities, accelerate development and maintain the stability of the company's reform and development. Over the past six years, through the joint efforts of the cadres and staff of the whole department, we have deepened the reform, increased vitality and momentum, maintained the bottom line of development security, continuously improved the quality and efficiency of the industry, continuously consolidated the foundation for development, successfully completed the established objectives and tasks, and continuously made solid strides towards high-quality development in a state of vigorous efforts.
In 2023, the main work and achievements
will be 7.14 million tons of steel, 4.35 million tons of ore, 2.44 million tons of coke and 14.16 million tons of cement clinker . This is mainly reflected in the following aspects: firstly, focusing on the main business, the momentum of "advancement" is continuously enhanced; secondly, creating synergy and efficiency, the effect of "integration" is constantly improved; thirdly, tapping potential and improving efficiency, the momentum of "innovation" is gradually formed; fourthly, holding the bottom line, the foundation of "stability" is continuously consolidated; fifthly, giving full play to advantages, the power of "flexibility" is constantly stimulated.
2023 was a challenging year for the survival and development of the company. The cadres and staff of the company withstood the pressure and responded calmly. The main iron and steel industry worked hard to improve its internal skills, diversified industries actively helped, and the trusteeship units cooperated with each other. We held the bottom line and stabilized the situation. While summing up our achievements, we should keep a clear understanding of the challenges we are facing; and in the process of breaking through the situation and extricating ourselves from difficulties, we should fully grasp the opportunities we are facing. The whole company must unite, throw away illusions, get rid of the misunderstanding of "stand up and get better", seize all favorable opportunities, make use of all favorable conditions, work hard when you are sure, do more when you can, and strive to cope with the uncertainty of the changing situation with the certainty of your own work, so as to strive for more living conditions and development opportunities for the company. 2024 are to adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, In-depth study and implementation of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Economic Work Conference of the Central and Provincial Party Committees, the Fifth Plenary Session of the 11th Provincial Party Committee, the upcoming Eighth Plenary Session of the First Session of China Baowu and the 11th Party Congress of Kunming Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., continue to work hard on risk prevention, stable operation and development of the company, strive to win the battle of survival and defense, and accelerate the construction of a new development pattern of Kunming Iron and Steel Co., Ltd.
Main production and operation tasks: fully implement the requirements of Baowu Group to build a new management responsibility system, take "four modernizations" as the direction of guidance, take "four haves" as the business program, take benchmarking as the starting point of work, adhere to the concept of "value creation" and "accounting management". Focusing on the two central tasks of "ensuring the safety of capital chain" and "building the core competitiveness of Anning Base", we should focus on the main responsibility of iron and steel industry, improve the operating efficiency of diversified industries, strengthen the synergistic effect of trusteeship units, and fully complete the management task book indicators issued by Baowu Group.
In combination with the above requirements and tasks, we should focus on the following tasks:
first, we should guard against and defuse risks and resolutely win the battle for survival and defense; second, we should focus on the main business to build core competitiveness and integrate diversified industrial chains to enhance their advantages; third, we should deepen reform and innovation and fight hard battles to improve quality and efficiency; Fourth, we should strengthen our roots and build our soul, and rely on workers to build a solid backing for development.
Ma De finally stressed that under the leadership of the provincial government of Yunnan Provincial Party Committee and Baowu Group, and under the leadership of the Party Committee of the company, we should recognize the situation, strengthen our confidence, take the sense of urgency of "facing the city", show the courage to break the kettle and sink the boat, fight with our backs to the water, stand on our own feet, unite and forge ahead, go against the wind and break through adversity. The meeting explained the optimization and adjustment of human resources-related policies, reviewed the Work Report on Safety Production and the Work Report on Energy and Environmental Protection in writing, and voted to adopt the list of members of the special working committee of the 11th Workers'Congress of Kunming Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. Prior to the
formal meeting, the first meeting of the Presidium of the Workers' Congress was held to hear the report on the discussion, deliberation and voting of the preparatory meeting of the Congress, and the Voting Method of the Workers' Congress (Draft) was adopted. Members of the Presidium of
the General Assembly and delegations from secondary units attended the meeting.
