Shijiazhuang VS Zhengzhou: Highland and Depression of Cement Price

One is the "pearl" (Shijiazhuang) protected by all, the other is the "cake" (Zhengzhou) divided up by all, whose situation is more comfortable, it is obvious.

According to China Cement Network, Henan and Hebei, as the major provinces of cement clinker production in the Central Plains, have an annual clinker production capacity of about 90 million tons, and their provincial capitals Zhengzhou and Shijiazhuang are the main consumer markets. However, Shijiazhuang area is the highland of Hebei cement price, while Zhengzhou is the depression of Henan cement price.

Why is the price of cement high and low in the same provincial capital city? How did such a cement market pattern come into being? The author thinks that the main reasons are as follows:

First, the difference

in the concentration of production capacity in the province. It is understood that, according to the data of China Cement Network, the first clinker production capacity enterprise in Henan Province is Zhonglian Tongli, which is not much different from the production capacity scale of Tianrui Cement , which ranks second. Most of the remaining "second echelon" cement clinker production lines are 5000 tons. Single large line cement enterprises have a strong voice in the regional market, and their business strategies are more flexible. Leading enterprises lack the right to speak in the market, and the strength of the "second echelon" enterprises is not bad, which results in peace when the market is good, and once the market deteriorates, the relationship between competition and cooperation is easy to break down.

On the contrary, Hebei region has become the first cement industry in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region since the reorganization of Jinyu Jidong, which greatly improves the concentration of local clinker production capacity. Especially in Shijiazhuang and its surrounding areas, Jinyu Jidong and Quzhai Cement occupy an absolute leading position. Therefore, from the perspective of capacity concentration in Henan and Hebei, Hebei can stabilize the market better than Henan, and the stability of the whole market is more conducive to the maintenance of local cement price situation.

According to China Cement Network, Henan's clinker bases are mainly located in Zhengzhou, Xinxiang, Jiaozuo, Pingdingshan, Xuchang, Anyang, Sanmenxia and other areas, while Zhengzhou is basically surrounded by these major clinker bases. As for the distribution of cement enterprises, there are four cement enterprises in Zhengzhou, and the surrounding Mengdian Cement and Chunjiang Cement in Xinxiang , Dadi Cement and Ruzhou Cement in Pingdingshan, and Jinrong Cement in Sanmenxia are very close to Zhengzhou. Can impact the Zhengzhou market at any time.

Therefore, although Zhengzhou is the core market, but can not bear the enterprises to keep a close eye on, cement prices rise on the surrounding enterprises swarmed up, so the price is difficult to rise. There are mainly two cement enterprises in

Shijiazhuang area, Jinyu Jidong and Quzhai Cement. As the leader of Hebei cement enterprises, Jinyu Jidong will not smash its own field, so the whole Shijiazhuang cement market is more harmonious.

Looking at the surrounding markets of Shijiazhuang, Xingtai, Handan, Chengde, Zhangjiakou and Tangshan are all big cement production cities in Hebei Province, and Jinyu Jidong has a relatively high market share. The former two bear the heavy responsibility of blocking the northward movement of Henan cement, while the latter three basically form a barrier to prevent the southward impact of Northeast cement. Therefore, Hebei has formed a relatively high price in the central Hebei region dominated by Shijiazhuang.

One is the "pearl" (Shijiazhuang) protected by all, the other is the "cake" (Zhengzhou) divided up by all, whose situation is more comfortable, it is obvious.

In order to survive and develop in the fierce market competition, cement enterprises must abandon the illusion of relying on others to "give" opportunities, and win the recognition and respect of the market through self-innovation and promotion.
