In order to implement the requirements of the national opinions on promoting the implementation of ultra-low emission in the cement industry, further enhance the environmental management level of the Group and reduce the emission of nitrogen oxides, the Company intends to continue to implement the SCR denitrification technology transformation in certain other subsidiaries on the basis of the results achieved in the implementation of SCR denitrification technology transformation in certain subsidiaries of the Company in the early stage.

On May 14, Conch Cement issued an announcement on the acceptance of engineering project design and technical services and SCR denitrification technical renovation services. On May 13,

2024, the Company (for itself and on behalf of its relevant subsidiaries) and Conch Design Institute signed the Contract for Engineering Project Design and Technical Services. Conch Design Institute will provide engineering design and/or technical transformation services for aggregate, machine-made sand, commercial concrete, dry-mixed mortar, grinding station, mineral powder transfer projects and comprehensive projects of certain subsidiaries of the Company, large-scale special transformation projects of the Company, engineering consulting services and other projects, with a contract price of RMB111.67 million. On May 13,

2024, the Company (for itself and on behalf of its relevant subsidiaries) and Conch Design Institute signed the General Contract for SCR Denitrification in May 2024. Conch Design Institute will provide engineering design, technical calibration, equipment supply and commissioning services for the SCR denitrification technology transformation project of four clinker production lines of certain subsidiaries of the Company at a contract price of RMB34.7 million. On January 2,

2024, the Company (for itself and on behalf of its relevant subsidiaries) and Conch Design Institute signed the General Contract for SCR Denitrification in January 2024. Conch Design Institute provided engineering design, technical calibration, equipment supply and commissioning services for the SCR denitrification technology transformation project of seven clinker production lines of certain subsidiaries of the Company, with a contract price of RMB56.7 million. According to

the announcement, SCR technology has high denitrification efficiency and can effectively reduce the emission concentration of nitrogen oxides in clinker production. Since the beginning of

this year, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Transport have jointly issued the Opinions on Promoting the Implementation of Ultra-low Emissions in the Cement Industry. According to the requirements of the Opinions, by the end of 2025, significant progress will be made in key areas, 50% of cement clinker production capacity will be transformed, and large-scale state-owned enterprise groups in the region will basically complete organized and unorganized ultra-low emission transformation; by the end of 2028, cement clinker production enterprises in key areas will basically complete transformation, and 80% of cement clinker production capacity will be transformed nationwide.

Among them, the organized emission control index requires that under the condition of 10% of the benchmark oxygen content. The hourly average emission concentration of particulate matter, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides in the waste gas from the cement kiln and the waste heat utilization system at the kiln tail shall not be higher than 10 mg/m3 , 35 mg/ m3, 50mg/m3

Cement industry ultra-low emission transformation is imminent! In the emission reduction of the three major pollutants in the cement industry, denitrification is undoubtedly costly and difficult. Therefore, it is urgent for cement enterprises to choose a denitrification technology with high denitrification efficiency and low operation cost. For denitrification technology in cement industry, SCR denitrification technology has gradually come to the fore in recent years. However, SCR denitrification technology can be divided into high temperature and high dust SCR, high temperature and low dust SCR, medium temperature and medium dust SCR, etc. Each process has a different impact. How to choose more suitable denitrification technology for nitrogen oxide treatment in

cement enterprises? On June 13-14, China Cement Network held the "11th China Cement Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Technology Exchange Conference-Equipment Renewal Forum" in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, which will compare and analyze the technical routes of ultra-low emission transformation of cement enterprises. After the meeting, we will also organize a visit to Jurong Taini Cement Co., Ltd., a national green factory and a national green mine.
