The relocation project of cement clinker production lines of Chongqing Wanzhou Southwest Cement Co., Ltd. and Chongqing Changshou Southwest Cement Co., Ltd. will no longer be implemented.
On December 16, Chongqing Economic and Information Commission issued the Announcement on Cancellation of Capacity Replacement Scheme for Relocation Project of Cement Clinker Production Line of Chongqing Wanzhou Southwest Cement Co., Ltd. and Chongqing Changshou Southwest Cement Co., Ltd.
The announcement said that on December 21, 2020, the portal website of Chongqing Economic and Information Commission issued the Announcement on the Relocation Project of Cement Clinker Production Lines of Chongqing Wanzhou Southwest Cement Co., Ltd. and Chongqing Changshou Southwest Cement Co., Ltd., which was postponed and completed in 2022.
According to the requirements of the national capacity replacement policy, after the application of Chongqing Wanzhou Southwest Cement Co., Ltd., the project will no longer be implemented, and the Announcement is now revoked.
According to the 2022 extension announcement, the project construction has not yet been implemented due to the adjustment of investment direction. After the application of the project owner and the study of our committee, it is agreed that the project will be extended to December 20, 2024.

years ago, Chongqing Economic and Credit Commission issued the Announcement on the Relocation Project of Chongqing Wanzhou Southwest Cement Co., Ltd. and Chongqing Changshou Southwest Cement Co., Ltd. in 2020. Two rotary kilns of Chongqing Wanzhou Southwest Cement Co., Ltd. (With a total clinker production capacity of 1.99 million tons) and two rotary kilns of Chongqing Changshou Southwest Cement Co., Ltd. (With a total clinker production capacity of 1.85 million tons) will be merged and relocated to Wanzhou Economic Development Zone, and two Φ5.3 × 74m rotary kilns will be constructed, with a total production capacity of 3.84 million tons/year.
