According to the big cement data of China Cement Network, in 2023, the import volume of cement in China is 870,900 tons (based on the import data forecast from January to November 2023). In the last five years, the import volume of cement in China is 2,006,200 tons in 2019, 3,607,700 tons in 2020, 3,585,400 tons in 2021, 2,402,300 tons in 2022 and 870,900 tons in 2023.

Including 14 cement enterprises, Jiangsu Province issued a list of key units in the carbon emissions trading market in 2027.

Recently, the Department of Ecology and Environment of Jiangsu Province announced the list of key emission units in the national carbon emission trading market in Jiangsu Province in 2027. A total of 262 subjects were included in the control, of which 14 were selected from the cement sub-industry, distributed in Nanjing, Wuxi, Xuzhou, Changzhou, Yancheng and Zhenjiang, including Nanjing Zhonglian Cement, Jiangsu Xinning New Building Materials, China Cement Plant, etc. The announcement of the list means that the relevant cement enterprises will be included in the quota management and performance scope of the national carbon market in 2027.
