In order to study and implement the spirit of the Central Economic Conference and clarify the next work ideas, the enlarged meeting of the president of Zhejiang Cement Association was held in Hangzhou on December 16. President Yao Jixin presided over the meeting. Yao Hairong, Vice President and Secretary-General, on behalf of the Association, summarized the work of the Association in 2024, analyzed the development situation in 2025, and put forward preliminary working ideas for 2025. Conch Cement Zhejiang Region, Zhejiang Southern Cement , Southern Cement, Red Lion Cement and other 10 vice president units and the main leaders of enterprises attended the meeting and discussed.
The meeting held that, with the strong support of relevant government departments, higher-level associations and member units, especially the vice-president units, in 2024, the association has made solid and effective efforts in the anti-involution of the service industry, the high-quality development of the service industry and the reflection of the demands of the service government.
The meeting held that the just-concluded meeting of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee and the Central Economic Work Conference put forward a series of unprecedented counter-cyclical adjustment policies, such as fiscal and financial policies. With a package of policies to expand domestic demand, a series of major strategic tasks in the closing year of the 14th Five-Year Plan, major reform measures, major projects such as "two new" and "two heavy" and policies to stimulate real estate, it is expected that the situation of the cement industry will be improved in 2025. The Central Economic Work Conference once again emphasized "comprehensively rectifying involution competition and standardizing the behavior of local governments and enterprises". It is expected that the industry ecology will continue to improve, and we should enhance our confidence in doing a good job next year.
The meeting clarified the working ideas of the association in 2025. Mainly: continue to serve the anti-involution of the industry. Including the implementation of the relevant policy requirements of government departments, the study and formulation of the implementation plan of peak staggering production, the implementation plan of anti-involution, and the initiation of cross-provincial self-discipline exchange symposiums in Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian and Yangtze River Delta. Continue to develop the service industry with high quality. It includes energy-saving and carbon-reducing services, guidance and publicity of ultra-low emission transformation, quality management, and issuance of 30-year honorary certificates for cement scientists and technicians in Zhejiang Province. Yao Jixin fully affirmed the ideas for next year's work and the opinions and suggestions put forward by all of you for next year's work. We agree with the suggestion that we should strengthen the linkage with the surrounding provinces and cities in the aspect of "anti-involution" and strengthening industry self-discipline. It is emphasized that we should explore hard ways to standardize the healthy development of the industry and form a "manageable" industry order. It is hoped that we will unify our thinking, will and action, grasp the general situation and strengthen our confidence, strive to make substantial progress in the comprehensive regulation of the "involution" competition in the industry next year, and strive to achieve healthy, stable and high-quality development of the industry.
The meeting also voted to adopt the proposal of establishing the Health Branch of Zhejiang Cement Association. This is the first health association in the cement industry in China.
