On November 27, the Ministry of Finance issued the Notice on the Budget of Air Pollution Prevention and Control Funds for 2025 in Advance, with a total amount of 20.4 billion yuan.
The circular requires all provinces to strengthen the management of funds, earmark special funds and effectively improve the efficiency of the use of funds in accordance with the relevant requirements of the Interim Measures for the Management of the Reserve System of the Central Transfer Payment Funds for Eco-environmental Protection (Finance Ring [2021] 91) and the Measures for the Management of Funds for the Prevention and Control of Air Pollution (Finance Ring [2022] 106). Implement the principle of "funds follow the project", do a good job in project reserve, form effective investment as soon as possible, and avoid "funds and other projects".
It is understood that on November 28, the Guangxi Department of Ecology and Environment issued a "public announcement on the allocation plan of the central air pollution prevention and control funds (approved in advance) project in 2025". The central air pollution prevention and control fund (approved in advance) in Guangxi in 2025 totaled 289.95 million yuan.
