It is reported that Tajikistan began to export cement to neighboring countries in 2015, and the export volume in that year was 500 tons. < br/>
The cement exported is mainly provided by the cement plants jointly invested by China and Tajikistan: Sinoma Moir Cement Co., Ltd. (Accounting for about 30.9% of the total export volume), Huaxin Yawan Cement Co., Ltd. (28.1%) and Huaxin Suget Cement Co., Ltd. (25.9%). From January to October
this year, Tajikistan's total cement production was 3.2 million tons, an increase of 28% compared with the same period last year. In the first 10 months of last year, Tajikistan produced 842,000 tons of cement, compared with more than 282,000 tons in the same period in 2016. < br/>
Nearly 90% of Tajikistan's cement output comes from Sino-Tajik joint ventures, such as Sinoma Moir Cement Co., Ltd. (About 38.5% of total cement output), Huaxin Yawan Cement Co., Ltd. (32.6%) and Huaxin Suget Cement Co., Ltd. (24.2%). < br/>
The country's indigenous "Tajik Cement Plant" (Dushanbe) produces only 6.5% of total cement production. < br/>
In recent years, Tajikistan has greatly increased its cement production through the establishment of several Sino-Tajik joint ventures. Chinese investors have helped Tajikistan increase its cement production nearly tenfold over the past eight years. < br/>
At present, there are 13 cement manufacturers in Tajikistan, with an estimated annual production capacity of 470 tons.
