Recently, the African Security Organization (AfriSAFE) held the 6th African Security Summit in Livingstone, Zambia, and Sinoma Cement 's China Building Materials Zambia Industrial Park was invited to attend. More than 600 people, including representatives from more than 20 countries and Chinese and foreign media, attended the event. Nominated by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security and the Environmental Protection Agency of Zambia and selected by the Organizing Committee, China Building Materials Zambia Industrial Park stood out from tens of thousands of African enterprises and won the "African Safety Excellence Award". CNBM Zambia Industrial Park has always adhered to green and sustainable development, attached great importance to safety and environmental protection, deeply rooted the concept of safety and environmental protection in the overall planning, construction and operation of the industrial park,
strengthened the system construction, advocated the integration of safety and environmental protection culture, and created a safe and healthy working environment for employees. Since it was put into operation in July 2018, it has actively explored the way to establish overseas safety production standardization enterprises with Chinese characteristics, vigorously promoted the construction of post standard management system, and improved the safety and environmental protection efficiency and the safety and environmental protection awareness of Chinese and Zambian employees. Through carrying out safety and environmental protection training, organizing safety and fire emergency drills and occupational health education, we can train localized professionals and improve their working skills. At the same time, the industrial park always adheres to the people-oriented principle, carries out regular health checks, does a good job of psychological counseling, and escorts the physical and mental health of employees.
Actively committed to low-carbon environmental protection, energy conservation and emission reduction, take the initiative to assume the responsibility of carbon emission reduction. High-efficiency, energy-saving and low-noise equipment and closed production process are adopted, and the crushing and conveying atomization spray dust suppression system is first used in Zambia. High-efficiency dust collection equipment is installed to strictly control dust emissions. Through technological innovation, the existing equipment is technically transformed to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from the source. Alternative fuels with low carbon intensity are used to reduce the proportion of cement clinker and effectively reduce carbon dioxide emissions. In combination with the local characteristics of abundant sunshine, 285 sets of solar street lamps are installed in the park, saving 470 kWh per day and improving energy efficiency.
As a "forest factory", more than 7000 seedlings have been planted in the industrial park, and more than 40 mu of vegetable fields have been opened up, forming a green pattern with distinct layers and abundant vegetation. The park is full of green trees, red flowers and birds, and deeply practices the concept of green sustainable development.
This award is an affirmation of the enterprise's unremitting efforts in occupational health, safety and environmental protection, as well as an encouragement for the future development of the enterprise. China Building Materials Zambia Industrial Park will persist in fulfilling its duties and responsibilities, protect its green homeland with the Zambian people, and play an active role in establishing a good image for Chinese enterprises overseas.
