As of April 9, Daqing Train Depot has completed the unloading of 172 vehicles, 344 standard boxes and a total of 11000 tons of cement clinker, and quickly put them into the Daqing construction market through road freight vehicles, seizing the market opportunities.

CCTV News, April 9, Daqing Train Depot Ranghu Road Freight Yard, which belongs to China Railway Harbin Bureau Group Co., Ltd., successfully completed a large-scale cement clinker unloading task on its freight line 4, unloading a total of 26 containers carrying heavy-duty cement clinker.

According to media reports, since March, a number of key projects in Daqing have resumed production one after another, and the demand for basic building materials such as cement and gravel in various construction sites has risen sharply. In this context, the mode of railway transportation has played a key role in the local area, helping many cement production enterprises to successfully introduce a large number of cement clinker from other places.

Data show that Daqing City in Heilongjiang Province is located in the hinterland of the three northeastern provinces, about 150 to 200 kilometers away from Harbin, the provincial capital, and is an important city center in the region approved by the State Council.

According to China Cement Network, Daqing does not have a cement clinker production line, while adjacent Harbin has seven cement clinker production lines with an annual clinker production capacity of more than 8.8 million tons.

It is noteworthy that Binzhou Line, the main railway line connecting Harbin to Manzhouli, passes through Daqing City, and one of the important stations is Ranghu Road Station, which infers that most of the cement clinker arriving in Daqing is likely to come from Harbin.

It is estimated that it costs about 0.15 yuan to transport one kilometer of cement clinker per ton by railway and about 0.5 yuan by highway. It can save 10-30 yuan per ton to transport cement clinker from Harbin to Daqing by railway, which significantly reduces the transportation cost of cement and helps to further expand the sales radius of cement.
