On March 20, Adylbek Kasymaliev, First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, attended the opening ceremony of the new clinker production line of Kant Cement Plant.
Kasimaliyev reported that in 2023, the plant received $ 8.5 million from the Kyrgyz-Russian Development Fund to build an export-oriented aerated concrete production line. This year, thanks to a US $50 million loan from the Eurasian Development Bank and an internal investment of US $20 million, the construction of a new clinker production line has begun.
Clinker is an essential raw material for cement production, and its versatility allows it to be stored and transported worldwide without the risk of deterioration. After the completion of the new production line, the annual output of high-quality clinker will reach 800000 tons.
Kyrgyzstan's largest cement plant, located 20 kilometers east of Bishkek, currently produces more than 1.1 million tons of cement annually, thanks to cooperation with 45 companies, ranging from cement bag manufacturers to end consumers. As a result, its operational activities have had a broad impact on the economy of Kyrgyzstan.
