On July 9, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Henan Province issued an announcement on the cancellation of the capacity of Henan Huanshan Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. to merge and build a general cement clinker production line with a daily output of 5500 tons.
According to the feedback from the third round of the central supervision of ecological environment protection, in order to implement the rectification plan of Henan Province, Henan Province has carried out the rectification plan. The Department of Industry and Information Technology of Henan Province decided to revoke the Announcement of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Henan Province on the Capacity of the Project of Co-disposal of 100,000 Tons of Fly Ash from Garbage Power Generation by Henan Huanshan Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. (No.7 of 2022) issued on May 12, 2022.
Earlier, it was reported that the production line had been put into operation in September 2023. On January 30, 2024, the 2nd meeting of the 20th Central Leading Group on Eco-environmental Protection Supervision deliberated and adopted the supervision report. With the approval of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, the inspection team gave feedback to the Henan Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government on February 27, 2024. Among them, the inspector pointed out that there was a phenomenon of "two high" projects blindly launching illegal construction in Henan. For example, the relevant counties and cities in Xinxiang issued documents to avoid capacity replacement in violation of regulations, weakening the requirement of capacity reduction substitution for the new cement clinker production line of Huanshan Environmental Protection Technology Company to equivalent substitution.
