Recently, the reporter learned from the Qinghai Provincial Department of Natural Resources that in the past five years, Qinghai Province has focused on the important mineral resources, clean energy and new material minerals that are urgently needed by the country and Qinghai's advantages, closely followed the Qaidam Basin and its surrounding areas, and arranged 1591 non-oil and gas geological exploration projects with a capital of 5.553 billion yuan. Seventy-two new mineral deposits and survey bases were submitted, 20 mineral deposits were submitted for development, and 500 million tons of coal, 5.383 million tons of copper, nickel, lead and zinc, 162.7 tons of gold, 7513 tons of silver and 231 million tons of sylvite were added.
In 2022, 279 geological exploration projects were implemented in Qinghai Province, with a total capital of 992 million yuan, 10 new census bases and mineral deposits were submitted, and 3 mineral deposits were available for development. The verification of available resources and reserves in Chaerhan mining area was completed, and 390 million tons of potassium chloride and 7.8867 million tons of lithium chloride were identified, which provided detailed data for stable production and supply of potash fertilizer in China. The deep brine potash mine in the Mahai area has newly submitted an inferred potassium resource of 50.4 million tons. 3000 tons of beryllium oxide resources have been added to Chaka Beishan, totaling 11000 tons, reaching a large scale. Mangya Wulan Wuzhuer-Shizisong Mining Area has added 800 tons of silver resources, totaling 1800 tons, reaching a large scale and is expected to reach a super-large scale. Gonghe Basin has completed the construction of two dry hot rock production wells, and initially established China's first dry hot rock geological survey, resource evaluation, fracturing, monitoring, power generation and other exploration and development technology system. In addition, significant progress has been made in the exploration of advantageous and important minerals such as gold, lead and zinc, and good results have been achieved in the exploration of clean energy minerals such as uranium and geothermal. Continuously promoting the construction of green mines, the province has built 153 green mines at all levels, accounting for 65% of green mines.
