On July 19, the commencement ceremony of Yuxi Enjie's 1.6 billion square meters diaphragm project was solemnly held.
According to the introduction, the total investment of Yuxi Enjie diaphragm production project is about 4.5 billion yuan, covering an area of about 485 mu. It is planned to build 1.6 billion square meters of diaphragm production line, which will be implemented in two phases. The first phase is planned to invest 2.4 billion yuan, with an annual output of 800 million square meters of diaphragm; the second phase is planned to invest 2.1 billion yuan, with an annual output of 800 million square meters of diaphragm.
At the opening ceremony of the project, Li Xiaoming, chairman of Enjie Stock Company, said that Enjie Stock Company was rooted in Yuxi and grew up in Yuxi. Yuxi Enjie is the core and important factory of Enjie Co., Ltd. in southwest China, and it is also a benchmark factory in the industry.
It is understood that Yuxi is one of the cities with the richest mineral resources in China, and its nickel and lithium oxide resources are also quite rich. The project aims to further enhance the production capacity of the company's lithium battery isolation film.
It is understood that Enjie shares were engaged in packaging and printing business in the early stage, listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in September 2016, entered the wet diaphragm business through the acquisition of Shanghai Enjie in 2018, acquired Suzhou Jieli and Chongqing Nuomi in 2020, established a joint venture with Polypore in 2021 to enter the dry field, and entered the wet diaphragm business through the acquisition of Shanghai Enjie. It has jointly invested in dry isolation membrane and wet isolation membrane projects with Ningde Times, forming a business layout with wet diaphragm as the core and dry and wet joint development.
In 2021, the production capacity of Enjie reached 5 billion square meters, and the first overseas lithium battery diaphragm production base was built in Hungary. The shipment of lithium battery diaphragm exceeded 3 billion square meters. In 2021, the operating income of Shanghai Enjie was 6.437 billion yuan, and the net profit attributable to the parent company was 2.452 billion yuan.
In 2022, the annual operating income of Enjie was 12.591 billion yuan, an increase of 57.73% over the previous year, and the net profit attributable to the parent company was 4 billion yuan, an increase of 47.20% over the previous year. In terms of capacity scale, Enjie has laid out diaphragm production bases in Shanghai, Wuxi, Jiangxi, Zhuhai, Suzhou, Chongqing, Changzhou, Yuxi, Jingmen and Xiamen, with a capacity of 7 billion square meters.
Enjie expects that in 2023, lithium battery diaphragm can guarantee the delivery capacity of 6.5-7 billion square meters.
