On November 29, the Three Gorges Group reported that the world's first commercial megawatt perovskite ground photovoltaic project was successfully connected to the grid. Located in the hinterland of Kubuqi Desert, Hangjin Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia,
the project relies on the supporting construction of Kubuqi 2 million kilowatt photovoltaic sand control project in Mengxi Base. The installed capacity of the project is 1 MW, covering an area of 40 mu, and a total of 11200 blocks of perovskite photovoltaic modules are installed.
In order to promote the application and development of perovskite photovoltaic modules and explore the demonstration of large-scale commercial operation, Three Gorges Energy, affiliated to Three Gorges Group, focuses on the application research of perovskite solar cells in typical climatic environments such as "dry and hot in the north", "cold in the northwest" and "hot and humid in the south". Among them, the application research of perovskite solar cells under the typical climate environment of "dry and hot in the north" was first launched relying on Kubuqi photovoltaic sand control project.
