This supervision and spot check is organized and implemented in accordance with SHSSXZ0011-2023 Detailed Rules for the Implementation of Product Quality Supervision and Spot Check of Tempered Glass for Construction in Shanghai.

for consumption and use 1) Check the product logo. When purchasing tempered glass, consumers should first check whether there is a 3C mark, and confirm whether the product model specifications are within the scope of the compulsory certification of the enterprise according to the factory number under the 3C mark. For products that have not passed the certification, they can not be used and have serious potential safety hazards.
2) Due to the non-cutting characteristics of tempered glass, the required shape should be determined in advance before purchasing tempered glass, and the size and position of the opening should be determined. Once the tempered glass is produced, it can not continue to cut and drill, otherwise it will burst.
3) Check the glass thickness. For tempered glass with nominal thickness of 3mm, 4mm, 5mm and 6mm, the thickness deviation is ± 0.2mm; for tempered glass with nominal thickness of 8mm and 10mm, the thickness deviation is ± 0.3mm. If the glass with thin thickness is used for processing, the strength of the glass will be easily reduced.
4) Pay attention to choose the tempered glass with different thickness according to the application. The maximum allowable area of tempered glass with different thickness is different. Generally, the maximum allowable area of toughened glass with nominal thickness of 4mm and 5mm is 2.0 ㎡; the maximum allowable area of toughened glass with nominal thickness of 6mm is 3.0 ㎡; the maximum allowable area of toughened glass with nominal thickness of 8mm is 4.0 ㎡; the maximum allowable area of toughened glass with nominal thickness of 10mm is 5.0 ㎡. Tempered glass with a nominal thickness of not less than 12 mm shall be used for movable door glass and fixed door frameless glass. Framed glass in the bathroom shall be toughened glass with a nominal thickness of not less than 8mm, and frameless glass in the bathroom shall be toughened glass with a nominal thickness of not less than 12mm.
