Recently, Qingdao City investigated and dealt with two cases of illegal sand mining in Pingdu City and Laixi City, and five people were detained by the public security department on suspicion of illegal mining, severely cracking down on illegal sand mining. In
order to ensure the smooth implementation of the project, Qingdao Water Administration has set up a special inspection and inspection team for illegal sand mining and soil extraction, set up 35 checkpoints along the Xiaogu River in Pingdu and Laixi, installed 59 sets of monitoring equipment, and arranged personnel on duty 24 hours a day. Municipalities, districts and municipalities have set up several inspection teams to carry out several rounds of inspection every day and severely crack down on illegal activities such as illegal mining of river sand.
On June 11, the inspection team of the Municipal Water Administration found that two river beaches were stolen in Ximeng Village, Jiudian Town, Pingdu City, Xiaogu River, and then organized the relevant departments of the city and (district) city to hold a special meeting to deploy the work of investigating and dealing with the cases. In close cooperation with the Public Security Bureau, Pingdu Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau, Water Conservancy and Fisheries Bureau, after careful investigation and judgment, tracked and investigated, identified the operating vehicles and traffic paths, locked two criminal suspect, Lin Mou and Zhang Mou, and captured Lin Mou and Zhang Mou on June 25. After interrogation, since the beginning of June this year, the two men have ganged up at night to steal more than 100 trucks and about 900 cubic meters of river sand from the Xiaogu River.
On June 12, the Laixi Municipal Public Security Bureau and the Water Conservancy Bureau, according to the previous clues, captured three criminal suspect, Gaomou, Lvmou and Gaomou, who stole river sand in Daliugezhuang Village, yuanshang Town, Laixi City. The Municipal Water Administration Bureau arranged law enforcement officers to guide the Laixi Municipal Water Conservancy Bureau to do a good job of on-site investigation, evidence collection and execution. After interrogation, the three men formed an illegal sand mining gang without permission to mine, transport and sell sand. They committed five crimes, stole more than 1,000 cubic meters of river sand, and made more than 50,000 yuan in illegal profits after selling.
The above cases are being further investigated by the municipal and (district) municipal water administrative law enforcement departments in cooperation with the public security departments. Cracking down on illegal sand mining is related to flood control, ecological security and social stability. The Municipal Water Administration will always maintain a high-pressure situation of cracking down severely, carry out special law enforcement actions for river and lake protection in conjunction with the Public Prosecution Law Department and other departments, resolutely crack down on water violations found, form a strong deterrent, and comprehensively protect the safety of rivers and lakes in Qingdao.
