Recently, Yihua Tongfeng Hydrogen Integrated Source Network Load Storage Comprehensive Demonstration Project (Phase I) was approved by Hebei Development and Reform Commission. The project was implemented by Guochuang Hebei Hydrogen Energy Industry Innovation Center Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yihua Tong, in Zhangbei County, Zhangjiakou City.
This project will make use of the abundant wind energy resources in Zhangjiakou City to build a new integrated process of renewable energy hydrogen production based on the renewable energy consumption technology of load following the source, so as to realize the large-scale local consumption of renewable energy. The project plans to build 200000 kilowatts of wind power, 24000 standard cubic meters per hour hydrogen production station, supporting hydrogen storage devices and 40 megawatts of hydrogen fuel cell power generation system . 80% of the wind power of the project is used for the production of green hydrogen, with an annual output of about 10,000 tons of green hydrogen; the supporting hydrogen energy storage system can achieve long-term and seasonal energy storage. The project basically realizes independent peak shaving and self-absorption, does not increase the peak shaving pressure of the power grid system, and improves the friendliness of the power system. 10,000 tons of green hydrogen is used for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, it is expected to support the operation of 1,750 medium and heavy trucks of more than 18 tons, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 117,500 tons/year compared with diesel vehicles; if it is used for pure hydrogen metallurgy, it is expected to support 100,000-ton hydrogen metallurgy projects, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 347,400 tons/year; If it is used for green synthetic ammonia, it is estimated that it can produce about 60000 tons of green synthetic ammonia per year and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 145400 tons per year. The project opens up a new chain of renewable energy-green hydrogen-low carbon application, explores a new mode of green economic development driven by green electricity and green hydrogen, and promotes the practice of double carbon strategy.
This project effectively reduces the cost of green electricity and green hydrogen, improves the market competitiveness of terminal products, and is expected to provide some experience for the road of green hydrogen parity in China.
