In recent years, large cement enterprises in China have actively adapted to the development trend of digitalization and intellectualization, and have begun to use new technologies such as 5G, big data, cloud computing and artificial intelligence to enable digital transformation, improve the efficiency of comprehensive utilization of resources, and achieve quality improvement, cost reduction and efficiency enhancement. With the integrated development of "5G + Industrial Internet" and the cement industry, the first batch of smart mines have taken the lead in the cement industry, and less or no mining has gradually become a reality, helping the cement industry to achieve cost reduction and efficiency, and improve the level of safe production. As the first step of smart mines and unmanned mines, unmanned
transportation has blossomed in many cement enterprises and mines with the development of 5G private network, 5G/vehicle-road collaboration (V2X), automatic driving and other technologies.
For example, through all-round cooperation with Yangquan Jidong Cement, China Unicom makes full use of the characteristics of 5G private network, such as large bandwidth and low delay, to realize 5G mine automatic driving, and takes the lead in realizing unmanned transportation in the domestic cement industry. According to
the data, Yangquan Jidong Cement 5G Intelligent Mine Driverless Project is the first marshalling demonstration project in the domestic cement industry to realize pure electric, digital and green intelligent mines, which has pioneered the construction of a collaborative intelligent unloading system. After the transformation of Yangquan Jidong Cement 5G Intelligent Mine, unmanned driving has been realized. On June 22 ,
2022, Conch Group's "Development and Application of Unmanned System for Cement Intelligent Mine Truck" passed the acceptance test smoothly after on-site inspection, inquiry, evaluation and discussion by the expert acceptance team. This marks that the first limestone unmanned transportation project in the global open-pit mining industry has been formally completed and put into operation in Conch Group. Through the development of driverless algorithm, the construction of fleet management platform and the deep integration of 5G and driverless technology,
the project realizes the intelligent networking of vehicles in mining areas. This will further enhance the overall level of digitalization and intellectualization of Conch Group's mines, not only improve the automation and efficiency of mining operations, but also achieve safe and green mining, which is of great significance to the sustainable development of the industry.
On November 8, Taini Jurong Factory joined hands with three outstanding partners, Dimai Science and Technology, Xidi Zhijia and Sany Heavy Equipment, to hold the opening ceremony of the intelligent mine project, marking that the mining area of Taini Jurong Factory took the lead in realizing the full coverage of driverless pure electric mine cars. It has become another major breakthrough leading the construction of modern digital mines in China's cement industry.
It is understood that Taini Jurong Factory has purchased 14 driverless pure electric mine cars customized by Xidi Zhijia to replace the original fuel mine cards in an all-round way. It is estimated that this upgrade can save 805 tons of diesel oil per year. If one ton of diesel oil emits 3.13 tons of carbon dioxide, the annual carbon reduction is about 1800 tons, which is equivalent to the annual carbon absorption of 150,000 trees. At the same time, compared with the fuel mine card, the labor cost per ton and maintenance cost are greatly reduced.
In addition, China Resources Baise Tianyang Cement Production Park has installed 5G intelligent remote control loaders . Operators sitting in the control cockpit can control the loaders on the mine in real time through the console; Qianye Cement of Henan Energy Coking Coal Company adopts 5G unmanned mining system, and employees can operate excavators remotely in 5G Mine Information Center; Changjiang Huasheng Tianya Cement invested 100 million yuan to build Hainan's first 5G smart mine driverless project. The achievements of intelligent mine construction of intelligent benchmarking enterprises in
cement industry make the economic, environmental and social values of intelligent construction in the industry truly reflected. But "driverless" is only the starting point, not the end point of smart mine construction, how to go from "driverless" to "unmanned mine", or even to "unmanned cement plant", there are still many barriers to break through.
