The cement industry in many provinces will/has entered the state of off-peak shutdown!

Recently, Shaanxi Province issued the Notice on Staggered Production of Cement Industry in 2023-2024. The peak-

shifting period is from 0:00 on December 1, 2023 to 24:00 on March 10, 2024; the peak-shifting production scope covers all cement clinker production lines in the province.

The notice requires that the production line of the group should be suspended as a capacity replacement index within two years, that the special funds for air pollution prevention and control should not be declared within three years, and that the performance rating of key industries in heavily polluted weather should be downgraded. During the period of

peak staggering production, due to the need of emergency response to heavy polluted weather and the guarantee of major government activities, the requirements of local governments shall be implemented.

According to statistics, the cement industry in many provinces will/has entered the state of peak staggering and shutdown in the near future.
