The two sides had in-depth exchanges on the current development trend and future trend of new energy industries such as photovoltaic and hydrogen energy.
In recent years, under the background of the global energy crisis and the increasingly serious climate problem, all countries regard clean energy such as photovoltaic and wind power as the major strategic direction of energy technology revolution and energy structure adjustment and transformation, while hydrogen energy is known as "clean energy" because of its advantages of high efficiency, pollution-free, abundant reserves and broad application market. It is also valued by governments around the world, competing to take it as a new strategic track and a positive layout.
In China, the development process of hydrogen energy industry is also accelerating. In March 2022, the National Development and Reform Commission issued the Medium and Long-term Plan for the Development of Hydrogen Energy Industry (2021-2035). For the first time, the state included the hydrogen energy industry in the national medium and long-term energy development plan and issued a separate document, which drew a grand blueprint for the medium and long-term development of China's hydrogen energy industry. Subsequently, local hydrogen energy industry development plans have been issued intensively to promote the rapid development of the industry.
At the same time, with the development of hydrogen energy industry and the acceleration of technological progress, in recent years, the promotion of hydrogen energy application has been accelerating, and gradually applied to transportation, construction, cement and other manufacturing industries. During the
exchange, Professor Zhu Weiyuan was very optimistic about the development prospects of hydrogen energy, but at the same time, he also believed that because of the low density and boiling point of hydrogen , the huge energy consumption of liquefaction, and the characteristics of fast combustion speed, high temperature, flammability and explosiveness of hydrogen. The storage and transportation of hydrogen is still the biggest bottleneck of its development. Zhu Weiyuan believes that as a hydrogen-based carbon-free compound, synthetic ammonia can be used as a medium for hydrogen storage and transportation, and is a good carrier to solve the bottleneck of hydrogen storage and transportation. Green ammonia produced by green electricity and green hydrogen can achieve carbon dioxide emission close to "zero carbon", which caters to the development of double carbon target, and deserves the attention and application of enterprises.
According to its introduction, at present, green ammonia, as an alternative fuel for cement production, has been applied to the production of Donghua Cement clinker production line with a daily output of 5000 tons. In the future, with the large release of green ammonia fuel production capacity, the use cost of green ammonia fuel will gradually approach that of coal, and it will be more widely used in cement and other industrial manufacturing fields.
