"This year's cement demand is estimated to be 2 billion to 2 billion 100 million tons, a slight increase or flat compared with last year." On March 14, Zhang Jindong, Vice President of China Building Materials Co., Ltd., said at the "50 People in Cement Economy" Forum sponsored by China Cement Network.
Zhang Jindong believes that in the first two months of this year, the cement industry has achieved better results in coordination and peak staggering production than in the past two years. Therefore, after entering March, colleagues in the cement industry should maintain sufficient confidence.
So how should cement enterprises act in the current situation? Zhang Jindong gave his own suggestions:
1. Enhance confidence and learn to take the initiative. Combining with the requirements of the state on macro-economy, high-quality development and carbon emission indicators, we should take the initiative to plan and do our work to enhance the active adaptability of the whole industry.
2. Holding a group to keep warm, the industry is strong and the enterprise is strong. At present, the coal price is at a high level, and the upstream profit is squeezed. At the same time, the downstream is affected by the macroeconomic level, and the demand is weak. If the enterprises do not reach a consensus, they will be caught in a dilemma.
3. Practice hard. The price is determined by the market, and now compared with the past, the profit margin is decreasing, and the price is market-oriented. Nowadays, cement surplus is serious, and it is unrealistic to expect a big price recovery, which requires enterprises to strive to reduce costs and tap potential.
Zhang Jindong said that the market is cruel, but as long as we work together, the cement industry will be able to develop healthily and sustainably.
