mechanism, the average price of sand in the whole province remained the same as last month. Regionally, the rise and fall of the four regions were not significant this month, with the Pearl River Delta, Eastern Guangdong and Northern Guangdong all rising slightly.
According to the situation of each city, the price of machine-made sand in more than half of the cities has risen, and some cities are the same as last month. Heyuan rose the most and Zhanjiang fell the most.
2. Overall price
of crushed stone In February, the price of natural crushed stone in Guangdong Province was 104 yuan/t, slightly higher than that in January; the price of construction waste crushed stone was 68 yuan/t, higher than that in the previous month.
Taking natural gravel as an example, the average price of the whole province rose slightly by 0.3% in February compared with the previous month. Regionally, only the western part of Guangdong fell by 4% to 82 yuan/t compared with the previous month, while the prices of gravel in the Pearl River Delta, eastern Guangdong and northern Guangdong all rose. Among them, the Pearl River Delta and Eastern Guangdong rose by 2%, while Northern Guangdong rose by 1%, both 82 yuan/t. On February 7, China Power Construction (Yunfu) Green Mining Co., Ltd. won the mining right of granite mine for construction in Niulankeng Mining Area, Duyang Town, Yunan District, Yunfu City with 3.2 billion yuan. The reserve of the mining area is 14842 5900 cubic meters, and the transfer period is 20 years.
On February 9, Nanxiong Zhirun Mining Co., Ltd. won the mining right of cement limestone mine in Meiling Mining Area, Nanxiong City, Guangdong Province for 139 million yuan. The limestone mine for cement in the mining area is about 20.53419 million tons (7.5294 million cubic meters), and the limestone mine for building stones has a resource reserve of 17.4955 million cubic meters. The transfer period is 17 years.
On February 10, Guangdong Meizhou Fushun Building Materials Co., Ltd. won the mining right of Dafu Building Granite Mine in Daping Town, Xingning City for 20.8539 million yuan. The recoverable reserves of granite for construction in the mine are 8.221 million cubic meters, and the recoverable reserves of sand for construction are 2.186 million cubic meters. On February 10, Xingning Weiwei Mining Co., Ltd. won the mining right of sandy kaolin in Baitang Mining Area, Jingnan Town, Xingning City with 6.9107 million yuan. The recoverable reserves of construction sand in the mine are 2,489,100 cubic meters (3,733,700 tons). The transfer period is 20 years.
On February 23, China Electric Power Construction (Yunfu) Green Mining Co., Ltd. won the mining right of granite for construction in Guanyin Mountain, Duyang Town, Yunan District, Yunfu City, Guangdong Province for 6.1 billion yuan. The reserve of building granite resources in the mining area is 22768 0.05 million cubic meters, and the transfer period is 20 years.
On February 27, Zhejiang Transportation Resources Investment Group Co., Ltd. won the mining right of Songshuwo Granite Mine in Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province with 2.01 billion yuan. The resource reserve of the mining area is about 420 million tons, and the transfer period is 21 years.

On February 10, the official website of the Guangdong Provincial Government announced the "Measures for the Management of Sand Washing in Guangdong Province", which explicitly prohibits sand washing in sea waterways and river waters, clarifies the construction norms of land sand washing sites, and straightens out the responsibilities of relevant departments in order to protect the ecological environment, maintain flood discharge and waterway safety, and protect the ecological environment. The produced construction sand shall be tested to ensure that it conforms to the national, industrial or local standards. The Measures shall come into force on April 1 this year.

On February 21, the Guangzhou Water Affairs Bureau issued the Announcement on the Delimitation of the Main Rivers of the Province (within the jurisdiction of Guangzhou) and the Prohibited Sand Mining Areas of the Sand Mining Rivers in Guangzhou in 2023. The Announcement delimits two (sections) of prohibited sand mining areas in the main rivers of the province (within the jurisdiction of Guangzhou) and twelve (sections) of prohibited sand mining areas in the municipal rivers. The announcement shall come into effect from the date of issuance and shall be valid until December 31, 2023.
3. The average precipitation in Guangdong
in February was 6 days, 3 days less than last month. Rain weather in all cities except Shaoguan and Qingyuan increased compared with the previous month, while rain days in other cities decreased compared with the previous month. Among them, the rainy days in Jieyang decreased by 8 days compared with last month. In February, the operating rate of sand and gravel in Guangdong increased.
Sand and gravel demand
in February, the apparent construction area of the four regions in Guangdong has declined, of which the Pearl River Delta has the smallest decline of 1%, the eastern and western Guangdong have declined by more than 4%, the northern Guangdong has declined by 2%, and the overall demand has weakened.
Despite the full resumption of work and production in February, the apparent construction area of all districts in Guangdong has declined. The smallest decline was 1% in the Pearl River Delta, followed by 2% year-on-year decline in northern Guangdong.
