Up to $240/ton, Gabonese government issued regulations on cement prices

On February 22, 2023, the Gabonese newspaper Solidarity reported that the Minister of Processing Industry, Luembe, the Minister of Economy, Roboti, and the Minister of Trade, Manfombi, signed a ministerial decree stipulating the direct, wholesale and retail prices of 32.5 and 42.5 types of cement in the nine provinces of Gabon, aiming at curbing the rising prices of cement.

Gabon's Solidarity newspaper reported on February 22, 2023 that the Minister of Processing Industry, Luembe, the Minister of Economy, Roboti, and the Minister of Trade, Manfombi, signed a ministerial decree stipulating the direct, wholesale and retail prices of 32.5 and 42.5 types of cement in the nine provinces of Gabon. It aims to curb the rising price of cement. According to Ministerial Order No.0001-23, the price of cement of type 32.5 varies from 91000 to CFA 142000 (approximately $145-226) per ton, and that of cement of type 42.5 varies from 96000 to CFA 151000 (approximately $153-240) per ton.
