The project of "Key Technology Development and Industrialization of Large Area Cadmium Telluride Power Generation Glass" of Chengdu China Building Material Photoelectric Material Co., Ltd., affiliated to China Building Material Triumph Technology Group, won the "Seventh China Industry Award" and became the only award-winning project in the field of glass. This is also the second time that Kaisheng Science and Technology Group won the "China Industrial Oscar" after the project of "Key Technologies and Complete Equipment Development and Industrialization of Ultra-thin Touch Glass" of China Building Material Glass New Materials Research Institute won the fifth "China Industrial Award".
In recent years, based on the enterprise mission of "Materials Create a Better World" of China Building Materials Group, relying on high-end platforms such as the National Key Laboratory of the General Research Institute of Glass New Materials of China Building Materials and the National Innovation Center of Glass New Materials Manufacturing Industry. In 2018, China's first large-scale power generation glass production line was successfully put into operation in Chengdu, which is also the world's first 100 MW large-scale cadmium telluride power generation glass production line. The production line has independent intellectual property rights and industry 4.0, which indicates that China has mastered the world's leading core technology of large area cadmium telluride power generation glass.
