The world's first! Shanghai Normal Temperature and Pressure Organic Liquid Hydrogen Storage and Filling Integration Project

on July 6, the world's first demonstration project of integrated hydrogen storage and filling for organic liquids at normal temperature and pressure, jointly built by China Chemical Construction and Investment Corporation and Hydrogen Yang Company, was successfully completed in Shanghai Carbon Valley Green Bay Industrial Park (formerly Shanghai Jinshan Second Industrial Zone). All the indicators have reached the expected goal of commercialization.

This is the third start-up test of the project. The project first produces non-toxic and tasteless "hydrogen oil" by chemical reaction between hydrogen and organic liquid in Fangshan, Beijing, and transports the "hydrogen oil" to the demonstration project site of Shanghai Carbon Valley Green Bay Industrial Park by road transportation at normal temperature and pressure. On the spot, the dehydrogenation device is used to dehydrogenate the "hydrogen oil" and restore the hydrogen that meets the standard of "Fuel Hydrogen for Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell Vehicles" issued jointly by the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration and the National Standardization Management Committee of China. Finally, the hydrogen is injected into the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle to realize the whole process of the whole device.

After this start-up, the whole set of equipment has been verified to be in good condition and the operation indicators meet the relevant national design standards, which indicates that the technical feasibility and economy of hydrogen storage in organic liquids have been verified by engineering, and now it has the conditions for large-scale commercial application, so as to truly realize "hydrogen transportation is as convenient as water transportation, hydrogen storage is as safe as water storage". In order to achieve the safe, low-cost and high-efficiency storage and transportation of hydrogen energy, and to promote the large-scale promotion and application of hydrogen energy. The whole process of this

plant is another milestone event following the first successful commissioning of the plant in January this year, which marks that the construction and investment company has made substantial progress in implementing the "two business" strategy of the group company, and also marks that China Chemistry has actively implemented the national "two carbon" strategy. It has taken a key step in supplementing and strengthening the chain in the field of new energy such as hydrogen energy.
