With a total installed capacity of 3.05 million kilowatts , it can generate 7.5 billion kilowatt-hours of green electricity annually, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 6 million tons and saving 2.3 million tons of standard coal annually compared with coal-fired power plants of the same scale. In the same period, four new energy projects and two major supporting power projects were put into operation, with a total installed capacity of 8.96 million kilowatts. So far, the installed capacity of China Huadian Power has exceeded 200 million kilowatts, eight times that of 2002, and the proportion of clean energy has reached 48.35%.

Data show that in the investment of China Huadian in the first half of 2023, China Huadian added 9.43 million kilowatts of new production scale, of which 6.41 million kilowatts of wind and solar power were added, 15 times the same period last year, and a number of million-kilowatt national new energy base projects are speeding up their formation. Since the beginning of
this year, China Huadian has focused on non-fossil energy, relying closely on major power projects to tackle key scientific and technological problems, and has achieved results in key scientific and technological projects such as hydropower construction at high altitudes, R & D and application of new photovoltaic equipment in high-corrosion salt field environment, and wind and sand control in Shage wasteland base; It has obtained the right to develop two new energy bases of 10 million kilowatts in Inner Mongolia and Gansu, as well as the new energy base of 6 million kilowatts in Xinjiang side of the three channels of "Xinjiang Power Transmission".
The first multi-energy complementary clean energy base in Xinjiang , Huadian Northern Xinjiang Urumqi 1 million kilowatt wind and solar base project , is the first batch of large-scale wind and photovoltaic base projects in the country, introducing photovoltaic sand control and "desert soil" ecological restoration technology. Carry out wind power and photovoltaic sand control, wind prevention and grass fixation, and systematically protect and restore desert, Gobi and desert areas. It can add 2.5 billion degrees of green electricity annually, save 830000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 2.1 million tons.
Huadian Qinghai Delingha 1 million kilowatt photo-hydrogen storage project is the first high-altitude photo-hydrogen storage project in China. Through the technical route and system of photo-hydrogen storage integration, it promotes the extension of hydrogen energy industry chain and the upgrading of value chain, and realizes the consumption of green electricity and green hydrogen. The project can generate 2.2 billion degrees of green electricity annually, meet the needs of 2 million households a year, save 543,900 tons of standard coal annually, reduce 1.48 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions, and produce 600 standard cubic meters of hydrogen per hour. The first full-capacity grid-connected base project
in Xinjiang , Huadian Changji Mulei 1.05 million wind and solar base project , is the second batch of large-scale wind and photovoltaic base projects in China, including 800000 kilowatts of wind power and 250000 kilowatts of photovoltaic power. The wind power part adopts the largest 7.5 MW onshore wind turbine in Xinjiang, which improves the conversion efficiency of wind energy resources. It can add 2.6 billion degrees of green electricity annually, save 850000 tons of standard coal, reduce 2.38 million tons of carbon dioxide, 420 tons of sulfur dioxide and 84 tons of harmful substances such as smoke and dust.
Huadian Tianjin Haijing's 1 million kilowatt "salt-light complementary" photovoltaic project is the world's largest single "salt-light complementary" project, covering an area of 20,000 mu, providing 1.5 billion degrees of clean electricity annually, equivalent to about 1.25 million tons of carbon dioxide emission reduction, which can meet the annual electricity consumption of 1.5 million households. Qidaogou, Gulang County, Wuwei, Gansu Province, on the southern edge of
the Tengger Desert, is the 50 + 200000 kilowatt photovoltaic sand control project of Huadian Jiudun Beach, Gansu Province, and the first batch of large-scale wind power photovoltaic base projects in the country, which can generate 1.4 billion degrees of green electricity annually. More than 20000 mu of sand has been effectively controlled. The largest single photovoltaic base in
Xinjiang, the 550000 kilowatt photovoltaic project in Kuqa, Xinjiang, is the second batch of large-scale wind power photovoltaic base projects in Aksu, Xinjiang, which generates 900 million degrees of green electricity annually and saves 300000 tons of standard coal. The emission reduction was 920,000 tons of carbon dioxide and 1,400 tons of nitrogen oxides. It is the largest single photovoltaic base put into operation in Xinjiang in the same period, and also an important part of building a new energy base of 10 million kilowatts in Aksu region of Xinjiang, effectively improving the local power supply structure and ecological environment, and providing clean, environmentally friendly and low-carbon green energy for local economic and social development.
