It is a great pleasure to meet you, old and new friends, again in Hangzhou, where spring is warm and flowers are blooming. First of all, on behalf of the organizer of the conference, China Cement Network, I would like to express my sincere welcome to all the distinguished guests and media friends coming from afar! At the same time, I would also like to express my heartfelt thanks to all colleagues in the industry for their support to China Cement Network as always!
In 2022, China's cement industry experienced the most chilling year. The national cement price index (CEMPI) fell by more than 20%; the cement output fell by 10.5%, hitting a new low in the past 11 years; the profits of cement enterprises fell sharply, the industry profits fell by as much as 60%, more than a thousand loss-making enterprises, and the industry situation is very grim. The theme of this
summit is "Strong Confidence, Seeking Consensus, Seeking Breakthroughs and Promoting Development". Yesterday afternoon, the "Cement Economy 50 Forum" was successfully held. We invited the most influential economic figures in the industry to have a heated discussion on the hot issues of the industry, and initially formed a think tank for the development of the industry. This form will also provide new development ideas for the competent authorities, upstream and downstream industries, and form a new industry ecology.
