2022, China Mobile Hainan Company and Changjiang Huasheng Tianya Cement Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony in Changjiang Li Autonomous County to jointly build the "5G Smart Mine Driverless Project".

It is understood that the project will land in Yanwoling Cement Limestone Mine, Changjiang County. Changjiang Huasheng Green Mine, relying on the technical advantages of three-dimensional GIS (Geographic Information System) management and control platform, integrates with China Mobile 5G private network, Internet of Things, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, unmanned driving and other technologies to integrate mining, transportation, production, sales, engineering geology, safety standards, mine ecology and other information. Through new technologies such as industrial Internet, edge computation and AI algorithm, the comprehensive perception of mining environment can be achieved, and finally the autonomous and intelligent operation of mining equipment such as mining trucks and unmanned aerial vehicles can be realized.

In terms of unmanned mining trucks, GPS + Beidou satellite navigation is supplemented by base station positioning to achieve three-dimensional high-precision positioning of trucks, and then through 5G network, automatic driving, high-precision maps and other technologies, to achieve unmanned mining trucks and marshalling operations. According to the technical personnel, the driverless mine car based on 5G + edge computation platform can not only avoid the operation of personnel in dangerous environment and solve the personal safety problems of traditional mine workers, but also reduce the consumption of waiting in line and congestion in the process of line transportation through cloud operation planning, precise control, unified collaboration and collaboration with excavators and other equipment.

Of course, "driverless" is only the starting point, not the end point of smart mine construction, how to go from "driverless" to "unmanned mine", or even to "unmanned cement plant", there are still many barriers to break through.
