On October 30, Atlas announced that in order to further enhance the competitiveness of the company's finished components in the U.S. market and enhance the market share of the company's products, the company plans to continue to lay out overseas N-type battery production capacity on the basis of investment in U.S. component production capacity, and launch the project plan of producing 5G W high-efficiency N-type batteries annually in the United States. Production is expected by the end of 2025.
The announcement shows that the proposed project is located in Jeffersonville, Indiana, USA, with a total investment of 839 million US dollars, or about 6.14 billion RMB, funded by its own funds, bank financing or other financing methods, with a planned construction period of 24 months.
Atlas said that the project can enjoy subsidies from the federal government and the state and municipal governments where the project is located. At the same time, the project is in line with the strategic needs of the company's future capacity planning, which can further improve the company's competitive position in the field of next generation N-type battery technology industrialization, optimize the overall layout of the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, and rapidly enhance the overseas localization manufacturing capacity.
